The Wellonburg: A Traditional Home

The Wellonburg: A Traditional Home by Living Concepts has two stories and 3963 square feet. Inside, there are four bedrooms, three full baths and one half-bath. Outside, there are porches and a veranda. The exterior, as shown in the front elevation below, is brick.

Copper flashing covers the bay windows, both on either side of the main entrance. The dormer windows also have copper. On the left side of the home, the three-car garage will hold your vehicles, perhaps with room to spare for a bicycle or two.

   First Floor

The garage has an entrance at the rear as well as one into the home. Inside, the laundry room is on the right. It has room for your appliances and a utility sink. There is even a reach-in closet tucked into the corner. Now that’s innovation! A door straight ahead goes out onto a small porch. This gives you another way to enter the house.

Adjacent to this closet and the laundry room, there is a walk-in pantry. The kitchen is nearby, too. Upon entering here, the wet bar is on your right. On the opposite side of the wet bar, you will find the powder room. Then, in the kitchen, the island houses the double sink. It also provides seating, as seen in the photo below.

   More of the First

From the kitchen, we walk towards the back of the home. The Morning Room has room for your dining table and chairs. A door on the left goes to the screened porch while a door on the right goes out onto the veranda. A door on the far left, in this porch, with stairs going down, will offer a convenient way to get outside. Entering from the front door, however, the living room is on your right and the (formal) dining room is on your left.

The hall extends from the master suite on your right, all the way to the wet bar on the left. Stairs going up are also on your left. Walking straight towards the back once again, you enter the Gathering Room. A fireplace is on the right wall, with built-in cabinets and shelves on both sides, as seen by the photo below.

Then, from the Gathering Room, you step out onto the Veranda, as seen in the photo below of the back of the home.

   The Master Suite and Bath

The Master Suite and Bath are located on the right side of the Wellonburg Plan. Like the living and dining rooms, the master suite has a bay window. A door on its left leads to the veranda. The master bath, at the far end, has a walk-in shower and a soaking tub. Soak sore muscles or drink in the steam? Your house, your choice!

There are also an enclosed toilet and two sinks. A small linen closet is tucked into one corner of the bathroom. Finally, there is a generous walk-in closet at the end of the bath.

   Second Floor

First, the second floor has three bedrooms. The third suite, at the far right, has its own bath. This has a single sink, a toilet, and a bathtub/shower combination. The other two bedrooms share a similar bath, with the exception of having two sinks. All bedrooms have their own walk-in closet. A sitting loft faces the front of the home while the bonus room is at the far left. The bonus room has its own reach-in closet. Finally, attic access can be found in the bonus room and the walk-in closet of the third bedroom.
