The Stafford Plan: All-Out Craftsman

The Stafford Plan: All-Out Craftsman by Living Concepts is practically perfect. Look at the rendering below. From the three-car garage on the left, done in cedar shingles, to the front of the home with its stone- this home is all Craftsman.

The Stafford Plan: All-Out Craftsman

The front porch has three tapered columns. It is large enough for a comfortable chair and a table or for your seasonal displays. Shutters encase the lower windows while dormered windows above look out on your front yard. Now, let’s look inside.

   The First Floor

First, inside the garage and on the left side, you will find an area dedicated for your golf cart. Now, if you are fifteen feet away from your swim pool and golf club, this might seem superfluous. However, a walk of ¼ mile or more, with children and towels and floats, is another matter. Right beside this area is a workshop, complete with counter space.

Then, when you enter the home, a counter and cubbies are on your left while a door that goes outside is on your right. Next is the utility (laundry) room. A utility sink and plentiful counters plus room for your washer and dryer make this space all-out, too. Then, right around the corner, you will find the powder room.

   More of the First Floor

Next, the office is on your left. This is in an excellent spot- away from most of the kitchen or living room busyness. The kitchen pantry is a walk-in. It even has room for your refrigerator! Then, inside the kitchen proper, there is room for two islands (one with seating), with a large gas stove and dishwasher by the double sink. The kitchen, breakfast room and family rooms are all open to each other.

The breakfast room has a door on the left that goes outside. Another door on the right of the breakfast room enters the screened porch. Then, inside, there are designated spaces for a fireplace as well as your grill. All-out, I say!

First Floor and The Back of the Home

A fireplace faces the breakfast room. Then, on the other side, you have the family room. On the far-right wall, there is a shelf that extends the entire length. The family room has a door to the screened porch as well as to the covered terrace. Look at the rear elevation below, from the screened porch on the right to the covered terrace and then the master suite.

Then, back inside and walking towards the front of the home, there is an under-the- stairs reach-in closet and then the stairs for the second floor. Around the corner, a butler’s pantry opens up into the foyer as well as the kitchen. It is adjacent to your formal dining room, which faces the front of the home.

   The Master Suite

The Stafford plan has a master suite with retreat that covers nearly the entire right side of the home. The master suite proper (sleeping area) faces the front of the home. Then, walking towards the back, a reach-in closet is on your left, as well as two generous walk-in closets. Another reach-in closet is down this hall and on the right. Next, on your right is the master bath. Inside this room, there is an enclosed toilet.

Then, there are two sinks which are separated by plenty of space to avoid bumping into each other. A vanity is on the left side. Also included is the walk-in shower, a soaking tub, and a sauna. Steamy! Finally, the master retreat is adjacent to the covered terrace. Here, you can curl up with your favorite current read and fuzzy blanket on a chair that envelops you.

  The Second Floor

First, upstairs on the second floor, you have attic storage accessible by suite #3’s bathroom. Additional attic storage is located between the stairs and library. Another bonus? Oh yes, the library, which is more than 200 square feet of pure relaxation. Or for research. Your home, your choice. Then, there are also two bedroom suites upstairs. Each has its own walk-in closet. Suite #2 has a walk-in shower, sink, toilet and space for linen storage. Suite #3, however, has a shower/tub rather than a walk-in shower. Finally, another reach-in closet is adjacent to the library.
