The Milan Plan- Mediterranean and More

The Milan Plan- Mediterranean and More by Living Concepts is a two-story wonderment. In 4105 square feet, you will find living, dining and recreational areas perfectly executed. There are three bedrooms, three full baths and one powder room. A two-car garage is at the far-left.

The red tile roof is varied and interesting. A warm colored stucco is typical of the Mediterranean style. Arched windows and doors capture light while the eye wanders to the front portico or to the cylindrical structure at the far right. A built-in planter will allow you to plant your favorite flowers right by the entrance. But what is inside? Let’s see!

   First Floor, Left to Right

First, the two-car garage on the left gives you access to outdoor storage. You know you need this, even if someone else mows your yard. It’s an essential place to keep tools for minor house repairs or clippers for that stray branch that grows faster than others in your well-manicured bushes.

Then, walking inside the home, the laundry room is on your right. A small reach-in closet is nearby. The powder room is on the same side, too. A built-in countertop with room for a chair makes the perfect place to write notes or place belongings as you enter the main areas.

Next, on your left, you enter the kitchen. Two islands give you plenty of room to prepare meals for your family and to entertain guests. One has room for seating, a double sink and a designated space for your dishwasher. The other island has a single sink and enough room to create a charcuterie board or to roll out that dough needing lamination.

In the left corner of the kitchen is a sizable walk-in pantry. In the opposite corner, your breakfast room looks out onto the back yard. The family room, which has a fireplace, is on its left.

The kitchen has direct access to your formal dining room, which faces the front of the home. This is a (roughly) hexagonal room that protrudes from the main home and is also open to the foyer. Stairs going up are to the right of the foyer. A reach-in closet is under the stairs.

Then, straight ahead is the living room. On the right, you will find a fireplace with shelves on either side. On the left, a countertop with seating that is open to the kitchen might prompt you to give advice to the chef (don’t do it!).

   The Master Suite

Finally, we enter the master suite. It has two bathrooms. The smaller one is next to the sleeping area. It has a single sink, toilet and a walk-in shower. It opens up to a room with a bench, giving you a place to sit after your swim (we are coming to that part soon!). Of course, this room then opens up to the lanai.

Inside, the master suite’s bedroom also has a sitting area. Then, walking towards the front of the home, there is a walk-in closet on your left. Another one is on your right as you enter the master bath. Here there is an enclosed toilet, a sink, soaking tub and a walk-in cylindrical shower.

   The Outside, Back

The family room, living room and master suite all have access to this beautiful backyard. First, using the floor plan, the (covered) gazebo on the right has places for your outdoor grills. Then, the covered lanai extends nearly the width of the home. On the far left, a wet bar also includes a swim-up bar. Finally, the pool is nearly tear-shaped, with the option of a hot tub right next to it.

   Upstairs

First, the stairs leading to the second floor open up into an interior balcony. The exercise room is to the far left. It has access to attic storage (indeed, lots of storage possibilities here). Then, there are two bedroom suites. Each has its own balcony overlooking the backyard. Both have walk-in closets, a single sink and toilet. Suite #2 has a walk-in shower while suite #3 has a shower/bathtub combination. Finally, both bedroom suites also have a small storage room nearby.
