The Jefferson Plan-Contemporary and Traditional

The Jefferson Plan-Contemporary and Traditional by Living Concepts has an open floor plan yet also embraces traditional elements. The home has 3242 square feet with four bedrooms, three full baths and one powder room. The columns and symmetry, as seen by the elevation below, place this plan squarely in the traditional realm.

The two-car garage is on the right. It has separate bays for each of your vehicles. Inside, a door on the right wall goes to your side yard. In the front of the home, there are mullioned windows with arches above and a stately entrance to the two-story foyer.

   The Right Side

First, from the garage, you step into a short hall. On your left is the laundry room. There is plenty of space here for your appliances as well as a utility sink. Then, on the right, you will find the kitchen pantry. Next, ahead of you, the powder room is on your left. The kitchen and the morning room are on the right side of the Jefferson. The morning room and the master suite both have bay windows.

An island with a double sink and a spot for your dishwasher also has a place for you to pull up seats. Finally, the morning room is the perfect spot to place your dining table. This room looks out onto the deck and your backyard.

   The Middle

First, from the loggia or front porch, you step into the foyer. On the right, there is a formal dining room. On your left, you have the study or living room- your home, your choice! Then, moving forward, you are in the gallery or hallway, which extends from the master suite on the left to the kitchen on the right.

Next, you walk towards the gathering room. A fireplace is on the left wall. On either side, you will find a place for built-in shelves. On the right side, stairs go up to the second floor. A reach-in closet is nestled underneath these stairs. Finally, the gathering room has a door going out to the deck or terrace, which extends the width of this room.

   The Second Floor

First, there are three bedroom suites upstairs. One could instead be the bonus room. The suite on the left side of the home has its own bath. This includes a toilet, sink and a bathtub/shower combination. The bedroom has a reach-in closet.

Then, the two suites on the right side of the home share a bath. It has two sinks, a toilet and a bathtub/shower combination. Each bedroom has its own walk-in closet. Finally, there is attic storage upstairs. A door near the suite on the left side and a door inside the closet of the bonus room/suite #4 will both give you the access you need.

   Conclusion

With its open floor plan, the Jefferson leans toward a more contemporary layout. However, the exterior of the home is definitely traditional.
