The Albany: Traditional, Well-Planned

The Albany: Traditional, Well-Planned by Living Concepts is less than 3000 square feet with two stories. Don’t let the square footage fool you, though- it has the comforts you are probably looking for in a mid-sized home.

There is a two-car garage with an entrance on the right side. The master suite is down and there are four bedroom suites upstairs. The outside of the home could be either stucco as above or brick as seen in the rendering below. Your choice, your home! Let’s take a look inside.

   The First Floor

First, from the garage, you step inside into the laundry room. Makes sense, right? Laundry or utility rooms usually have the most durable flooring because of the heavy traffic (trust me, clothes washing never ever ends). There is room here for a utility sink as well as your most-up-to-date washer and dryer.

Then, straight ahead is the powder room. Take a sharp left and a reach-in closet (well-planned, yes!) is on your right. This room makes the best use of space as it is under the stairs. Next, to your left, the living room faces the front of the home.  A radical idea- forgo the television and use furniture that faces each other so you can all join in on the conversation. And that’s traditional!

   More of the First Floor

Walking clockwise, the dining room is in the left corner of the house. Having friends or family over to celebrate with a formal meal? This is the perfect place! Fancy it up with real China and glass stemware for the most festive occasion. Then, from the dining room you walk into the kitchen. A reach-in pantry is on your right. The kitchen peninsula houses the double sink and dishwasher. It also has space for seating.

Finally, the breakfast room is open to the kitchen and also to the family room on its right. The family room has a fireplace on the outside wall. The door going outside is to its left.

   The Master Suite

First, the master suite with bath consumes most of the right side of the home. The sleeping area is tucked into the far-right corner of the home. Then, walking towards the front of the home, you enter the master bath. Inside here, you will find an enclosed toilet, two single sinks, a walk-in shower and a soaking tub. Finally, the amply sized walk-in closet is nearby.

   The Second Floor

First, there are four bedroom suites upstairs. Suites #4 and #5 have reach-in closets while suites #2 and #3 have walk-in closets. Suites #3 and #4 share a bath, as do suites #2 and #5. Each bath has a tub/shower plus a toilet, while the shared bath between the bedroom suites on the left side of the home has two sinks. The other shared bath has a single sink. Between the bath and closet of suite #5, you will find access to attic storage.
