Shenandoah: A Traditional Home Plan

Shenandoah: A Traditional Home Plan from Living Concepts is a 2500 square foot home with three bedrooms, two full baths and one powder room. This one-story home plan also has a deck or terrace where you can lounge or grill. Or both. Your home, your choice.

The three-car garage is on the right side of the home. Architectural quoins dress the corners of the home. A front porch or loggia is centered in the front of the home. Its arched entrance mirrors the arches above the windows to the right and the left.

   The Garage and Bedroom Suites

First, from the three-car garage, you step into a small hallway. Take a few steps and the laundry room is on your left. Next, on your right is suite #3. Suite #2 shares the bath with the third suite. This is commonly known as a Jack and Jill bath. It saves space for the homeowner and is a convenient solution.

Then, the bathroom has two sinks, an enclosed toilet, and a shower/tub combination. A linen closet is inside, also. Finally, each bedroom has its own reach-in closet.

   Dining, Kitchen and Breakfast Rooms

First, from the loggia or porch, you step into the foyer. Then, the formal dining room is on the right. Ahead of the dining room, the powder room is on your right while a reach-in closet and then another small closet is close by. (That second one is the perfect spot for a kitchen pantry).

Next, the kitchen and breakfast rooms flow into one another. The kitchen island contains your cooktop. The kitchen peninsula, however, has the double sink, a designated place for your dishwasher, and seating for several persons. Finally, a door on the left of the breakfast room goes out onto the deck or terrace.

Living Room, Family Room and A View of the Back

First, once again from the loggia, you enter the foyer. The living room is on your left. Straight ahead, however, is the family room. There is a fireplace on the left wall. Then, to the right of the fireplace, there are cabinets for you to store your favorite DVDs or even better, to conceal those boxes and equipment needed from your favorite internet provider. Or for your gaming equipment!  Finally, the family room, like the breakfast room, has a door that leads out onto the terrace. A bonus for this deck is the built-in storage found in the far-left corner.

   The Master Suite, Left Side

First, from the living room, we turn left. On the right, the bedroom will become your formal retreat. It, too, has a door going out onto the deck. Then, turning left instead, there are two walk-in closets. An enclosed toilet is nearby as well as a small linen closet. Finally, the master bath includes a soaking tub, two sinks, a walk-in shower and another small closet to store laundry supplies.
