Mountain Laurel – Goldilocks
You’ve heard both of the following thoughts: that there is no such thing as too much, and ‘good things come in small packages,’ right? Well, think what you will, but this home, Mountain Laurel, is, in my opinion, the ‘Goldilocks’ house – it’s ‘just right.” This quaint Craftsman home is easy-living in a single-story with three bedrooms and two full baths. Yes, 1,685 square feet of space is enough. (For a large family, probably not, but stick with me here, you’ll see). Frank Snodgrass and Living Concepts have hit a ‘home run’ with this plan – it meets the living needs for several situations. If you are single, like to travel, but want a ‘home base’, this is for you. If you are a couple looking to downsize but still want a home for guests and entertaining, this is for you. Are you are young and looking for your first home, this is for you.

Front, Foyer & Kitchen
So, look at this exterior……how is THIS for curb appeal? Now, imagine your iteration of landscaping. Craftsman style, natural colors, natural materials…..tapered columns, multi-paned windows….THIS is Craftsman.
Hello. Your foyer, with a warm area rug, a cute table, and a bench, greets you.
** Just a note that the door to your single-car garage is off the foyer.
The kitchen is ahead and to the right. It is a U-shaped, and yes, there actually is a lot of counter space. Call your friends and neighbors, it’s the perfect night for a casual get-together. There is a walk-in (yes, really) pantry. You’re going to love this – cookbooks, foodie stuff, crockpots, pans, and some cleaning supplies are just perfect here.

Dining Room, Family Room (and an option)
You could say this is an open concept plan (which is not traditional for a Craftsman), and it works. The bar/countertop area in the kitchen faces the dining room and family room, which is a plus and very engaging when you have company over, or appreciate for yourself.
A nice area rug under your dark wood dining room table will anchor the space and make it warm and ideal for every Sunday night dinner.
A fireplace is centered on the back wall of the family room. You’re going to love the ambiance, lit or not, that the feature adds. Take the width of the fireplace ‘décor’ all the way up to the ceiling. Cool wood design, stone, tile….whatever you want, this can really make a statement. Get a sectional sofa, a sofa table on the backside of it, a coffee table for a glass art piece or cool wooden bowl. Make sure to add a soft throw blanket for naps and movie nights so you have something to both catch the popcorn on and wipe your buttery hands.
** There is a door from the living area to the outside. You have the option to add a covered lanai for outdoor enjoyment.

Main Suite & Laundry
Now, let’s work back to front and talk about the main bedroom suite. Here, you have the space that should fit a queen-sized bed. There is a spacious walk-in closet that can be creatively configured to meet your specific needs.
You’ll appreciate the double-sink vanity, as well as the separate tub/shower layout of the bathroom. The linen closet will hold extra bed linens, towels, and toiletries.
Walking out of the main suite into a hallway, you’ll have your laundry room with a utility sink. I know the convenience of this makes laundry days much easier and efficient.

Two More Bedroom Suites
The guest/front hall closet is here, as well as a full bathroom.
Each of the bedrooms has a double-door closet, again, with space to maximize for your needs. Do you have kids who come to visit? Friends? Need one room for an office?
Mountain Laurel – Goldilocks
See? This is the Goldilock ideal – not too big, not too small, but ‘just right’. With Mountain Laurel, you can live well, entertain, and also enjoy whatever else you like in life. Single, down-sizing, younger, older, prefer lower-maintenance or travel a lot – this IS the house for you.
Living Concepts will happily guide you on your journey with this ‘just right’ house.
