Are you ready for a change? I was, so I started digging in my yard. Uprooting ugly bushes (I promise) and replacing them with azaleas. Maybe you are ready for a change, too. In that case, Lynbrook– the European Plan by Living Concepts is worth delving into. The home has 5831 square feet, with two garages. One of them is a drive under (basement access), similar to the Radbourne blog last week.
Lynbrook: The European Plan
The Front
One garage is at ground level. It is a two-bay one, with plenty of space above it for a bonus room. Steep roof lines, arched windows, architectural stone and brick accents enhance the French Country/European style of the home. This is a two-story home with a basement, and amenities abound. Let’s explore! And let the pictures show you what a beautiful home this can be!
Lynbrook: The European Plan
First Floor- the Left Side
First, the garage on the main floor has a bump-out on the right side. This will be perfect for those larger vehicles that need the extra space. It could also be the place where you park your boat on a trailer. Well, not too big of a boat. Also, on the right side and in the middle are a few steps that take you into the home. A door on the right takes you to the porch that connects the garage to the home. Then, a door on the left takes you to your office, one of two in the home.
Next, walking forward, a powder room is on your right. Stairs on the left (there are two) go to the basement level and to the second floor. Then, there is the kitchen. A spacious island centers the room. You will have a place for your dishwasher and a double sink. A walk-in pantry holds your most precious food stuffs, from the raw honey you bought at the local farmers market to the pasta maker you use occasionally.
The breakfast room is open to the kitchen. It has two doors, one that leads to the outside, covered veranda, and the other to the screened-in porch. The latter has a door on the right that goes out into the veranda, and a door on the left for the stairs going to ground level.

First Floor- the Middle
From the front porch, you enter the foyer. A closet and stairs going up are on the right and the formal dining room is on your left. Next, the gathering room, with the fireplace centered between bookcases (or shelves to hold your travel treasures) begs you to sit and reflect.
The gathering room also has a door that leads out into the veranda.

First Floor- the Right Side
The sitting room, part of the master suite, bumps out on the right rear of the home. It has a door that leads out onto the veranda. In the sleeping area, a fireplace waits for those chilly mornings when getting out of bed might be difficult. Then, walking towards the front of the home, the laundry room is on the left. His and her walk-in closets are next. After those, there is an enclosed toilet.
The master bath is luxurious. A walk-in shower anchors the bottom left corner of the master bath. There are two sinks separated with an ample amount of counter space, plus a sunken tub with a fireplace beside it.

The Basement Plan
The covered veranda extends from the screened-in porch above and nearly the width of the basement. Inside, on the right wall, you will find the second garage. This one is for two cars. A door on the far right allows you to enter the basement without opening the garage door. A bonus- there is a sink straight ahead for easy cleanup, too.
The exercise room, which is directly below the master sitting room, is behind the right wall of the garage. You can enter it from the recreation room or the covered veranda.
On the left wall of the garage, you will find a door that leads to mechanical (heating, cooling) storage. Then, straight ahead, the door opens up into a large (more than 600 square feet) recreation room, which also has a fireplace. A second living room? A space for table tennis? All of that room reminds me of a blank canvas waiting to be filled in.
Then, on the left side, there is a bar, and close by, the wine room.
There is even more storage by the stairs going up to the first floor. Then, on the left side of the basement, there is the second office complete with a full bath (walk-in shower, single sink, toilet). A closet nearby keeps paper products handy. Finally, there are stairs on the outside left wall which go up to the first floor.

The Second Floor Plan
Upstairs and above the garage, there is the bonus room. This could be a playroom, she-cave, or another exercise room for your cross-trainer. It also has a connecting, full bath (shower/tub, single sink, toilet), and two reach-in closets, one on each side of the bathroom.
Then, you step out of the bonus room into the study loft. On the right is the bath for Suite #2. This bedroom has a walk-in closet. The bath has a walk-in shower, single sink and toilet. The suite opens up into the balcony where a curved staircase takes you back to the first floor. At the back of the second floor is Suite #3. The former suite has a tray ceiling while this one has a domed ceiling.
Plus, like suite #2, this one has a walk-in closet and a full bath (single sink, shower/tub, and toilet). A reach-in closet is adjacent to this bedroom.
