Let’s acknowledge the curb appeal first – this house is a looker, a real show-stopper in its outer beauty. The steep, pitched roofline, dormer windows, stone, and shake siding ooze English Cottage charm. I’m a big fan of the detached garage with the covered walkway to the house. The arched shape around the garage doors and the arched front door recess are inviting and warm details that say ‘come on in’ every day.

Foyer & Great Room
Yes, there is a foyer that you can ‘define’ by putting a chair and a small table or a short sideboard on the left wall. You will appreciate the staircase that climbs the wall in a very non-intrusive manner. A great room is in the center of the house. This area is right for friends and family to visit, sit, relax, watch movies, and enjoy togetherness. Light the fireplace, build shelves on either side, include a nook for wood storage, and your cool temperature nights are spoken for. Double doors lead from the great room out to a large deck.

Kitchen, Eating area, Laundry, and Screened Porch
To the left of the staircase is the kitchen. Yes, at the front of the house. There are bright windows and ample counterspace for cooking, baking, and whatever brings you joy.
The eating area is large. This space yearns for a large table for meals, laughter, storytelling over lasagna and Swedish meatballs, ice cream sundae lunches, or whatever you desire. Cookie decorating, even dancing with your person while dinner simmers on the stove, has a place here. Enjoy. Smile. This is your beautiful home.
A pocket door leads to an area with a closet, the breezeway, and the laundry room. Yes, I know the laundry room is not close to the bedrooms, but it works.
The screened porch begs for a fun high-top table for sharing tapas and drinks at or playing Uno. Use pecan wood as ceiling material with can lights on dimmers for contrast and interest. Make the seating cozy and maybe add a fun neon light fixture.

Breezeway and Garage
The charm of the breezeway, between the house and the garage, allows for beautiful pots of plants and flowers. These beauties will greet you with scent and color all year long, and the safety of ‘cover’ in your walks to and from the garage won’t be inconvenient – it will be a joy.

The entire right side of this home is your main suite. From the foyer, you’ll head right, pass a very decent closet and powder room, but the ‘main’, main, is your haven. So, guess what? Splurge. Lower Level
As if the main floor isn’t enough, there is a lower level of even more ‘wow’. A large rec room with a fireplace is the main event down here. Children need space to play? Here. Man-cave or lady-lair? Yes, it’s right here. Family game room? Yes. This is so much. It’s yours.
There is a door to a covered patio where a hot tub is the perfect beginning or end of the day space for relaxation.
There are two more suites/bedrooms down here. One has its own walk-in closet.
If you need storage space that is enough for all the ‘I don’t know what to do with it, but need to keep it’ items, your holiday décor, seasonal clothing etc – you’ll find it down here in spades. There is a lot of storage space down here.

Second Story
The second story of this wonderful home is quite open to the first floor. At the top of the stairs, a balcony hallway leads to a large guest suite/loft combo. This would be ideal for an older child or college-aged individual, as it features a dedicated walk-in closet and bath.
You’ll find two more suites with a Jack-n-Jill bathroom on the right side of the house.
